Who We Are
The Improving Leaders and Value Add Conversations Story
There’s a whole family history that includes Nike, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Church ministry, teaching, Bushnell University, and a passion to help others grow. Improving Leaders was born in 2020 when Lars moved back from SoCal to work alongside Larry’s consulting business. Now they both teach in the Master of Arts in Leadership program at Bushnell. This provides a space for Lars & Larry to share some of what they teach. Lars is pursuing his PhD in Communication at Regent University and is renewing his podcast and blog Value Add Conversations. Lars started Value Add Conversations during his masters degree in theology at Fuller Seminary. The podcast culminated in the writing of his book Follow the Way and a daily video devotional series in April 2020. Since then Lars has been focused on being husband to Janel and dad to Ashlynn and Sloane. Larry and Paula have a small hobby farm where they grow grapes, apples, and lavender, but their favorite pasttime is being grandparents to four awesome grandkids.
